De Britse groep laat weten dat ze niet optreden op de eindceremonie van de Londense Olympische Spelen van 2012.
Kort nadat Ed Sheeran aan een Australisch radiostation verklapte dat hij met Pink Floyd gaat optreden op de eindceremonie van de Olympische Spelen van 2012, komt de rockband met een eigen statement.
Dit is wat Ed vertelde: "I'm playing the closing ceremony - which I think is kinda cool right? A lot of people think that I'm doing a song with The Who but I'm not - I'm doing a song with Pink Floyd. I'm doing 'Wish You Were Here'."
NME.com meldt dat Pink Floyd als reactie op het nieuws een statement de wereld in heeft gestuurd, waaruit blijkt dat ze NIET optreden met Ed: "In response to press speculation, Pink Floyd state that the band is NOT performing at the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games."
